Like a Fool
A group of women and where they might be,
the very idea that they are looking for me,
is the simple plot of my favourite dreams,
man, I know I have problem with my self-esteem.
I’m hanging out like I’m James Dean,
I’m hotter than anyone I’ve ever seen.
And my face pops up on every TV-screen,
that’s the moment when I wake up and again I feel
like a fool, a fool, tonight I’m such a fool.
A fool, tonight I’m such a fool.
Then she came by the end of the night,
her top was loose and her jeans were tight.
That was when my mind got out of control,
I’m a thankful man in a tiny fishbowl.
She told me words, she showed me a smile,
she made me feel like I was super-virile.
For a minute just then everything went wrong
and I stood there naked in a staring throng
like a fool, a fool, tonight I’m such a fool.
A fool, tonight I’m such a fool.
I accept that I have no profile,
with my grey long hair and my moronic smile.
Got a bee in my bonnet with my 80s-style and
I always come too early, says my wife.
I like the movies, they make me dream,
of happy endings and chocolate cream.
Then the light turns on and there I go again,
I’m a punk poor copy of a better man.
Now it’s enough I wanna change my life,
need a brandnew look and a brandnew wife,
with a 5.0 to drive the bitches wild,
can you hear it, I’m sounding like a sullen child.
Like a fool, a fool, tonight I’m such a fool.
A fool, tonight I’m such a fool.
